Moving Hello Tractor’s 3CX phone system to Kenya-hosted infrastructure
The challenge
Hello Tractor ran its 3CX PBX on AWS with cloud SIP trunks and needed a lower-cost, locally hosted platform that could also carry calling for its operations outside Kenya.
What we did
- Designed the hosted 3CX architecture with cloud SIP trunking.
- Migrated the PBX from AWS to a Kenya-hosted VPS using 3CX backup and restore — users, extensions, queues and settings carried over.
- Supported the engineering team on 3CX API (XAPI) access for integrations.
- Planned additional country SIP trunks on the same PBX instead of running separate systems.
The result
One 3CX system serving multiple countries, hosted closer to users, with the old cloud instance retired.
